Why This Blog

……my husband has cancer……..

Words most wives never want to utter…..or think of…..or fathom in their wildest dreams…….but it became our reality on February 28, 2011. Ok, ok….we suspected before that but that is when it became “official” anyway…..you can read the medical details of how we arrived to……what should we call it?…….Diagnosis Day?…..Cancer Day?……on our “The Cancer Journey Begins……” Page……all the details of the last 2 months are there…..

….our Blog is about our Journey Forward…….

My husband used to write back in high school…..poetry….other writings….was even published a few times! We also had a Real estate Blog for years that Paul loved using as a marketing tool. He wrote articles about smoking meats and local hurricanes and I wrote about local real estate market conditions. Funny……his blog posts were always the most popular!

So we have used blogging as a means of communication in the past……and hopefully that will continue with this blog as well……it will serve as a means to keep friends and family informed about Paul’s progress in his fight against cancer. It will serve as a means of therapy for us as well……a place to vent frustrations……a place to lay our  emotions…..and a way to share our joys and successes. I don’t know how Paul feels about this but I don’t intend to respond to any comments. I may read them from time to time but not much….I want to keep this pure…..if my friends want to say something to us they know the millions of ways to send us a note! But I want it just to be a means of tension release…..a therapy for both Paul and I……so feel free to talk amongst yourselves…..and keep us in your prayers!

In His Grace,

Lisa
